At the end of 2025, the entire KEMAI community – PIs, doctoral researchers, and associates – came together for the first KEMAI Christmas Meeting.

The event was a chance to look back on a successful first year (01.01.–31.12.2025) and celebrate what has already been built in research, training, and community.

At the same time, the focus was on what comes next: how KEMAI can help shape the next wave of AI in medicine. The goal was to spark new ideas and collaborations – something that definitely happened over good conversations, as well as punch and Glühwein.

A special highlight was the “KEMAI Quizzy,” organized by doctoral spokesperson Maxi – fun, a bit competitive, and enjoyed by everyone.

The evening ended with an informal get-together over snacks and drinks – a great way to wrap up KEMAI’s first year.
