PhD Project:

Multimodal Representation Learning for Reliable Medical AI

Uliana Vedenina joined the Visual Computing Research Group in September 2025. She received her M.A. degree in Computational Linguistics from the University of Tübingen in 2023, where her research focused on parsing low-resource languages. Afterwards, she worked as a Research Assistant on a project on the automatic detection and classification of speech with criminal relevance and bot-generated hate speech.

She is currently pursuing her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Timo Ropinski. Her research focuses on multimodal representation learning and the reliability of medical AI systems.
