The first day of this year’s KEMAI Summer School was above all about empowering female early-career scientists in medical AI.
The morning kicked off with be.visible, a workshop led by Lina Spagert (Prof:inSicht), offering strategies to boost academic visibility through science-based insights and reflective exercises.
During a shared lunch, participants engaged in cross-generational mentoring conversations with senior women in the field — fostering inspiration and laying the groundwork for lasting professional support.
The day concluded with Follow the Footsteps, a short hike to a nearby beer garden, providing an informal setting to continue discussions and build professional connections in a relaxed atmosphere.
We hope this program serves as a basis for a strong, more connected network of women driving innovation in medical AI.
